FAQS

DO YOU OFFER ADULT HEALTH?

Yes! Adult health is offered in minor psychiatric conditions and acute care. Laboratory screening are also offered.  Primary care of the adult is not currently offered. If a patient seeks care of a primary care provider, referral can be made.

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

All patient care is individualized.  A patient can make an appointment and verbalize a specific concern for the provider.  The provider works with the patient to identify areas of concern, diagnostics and an individualized plan of care.  The provider works with the patient to optimize goals and wellness. Follow ups are completed to assess progress of the patient and adjust care as needed.

WHICH INSURANCES ARE YOU CURRENTLY ACCEPTING?

We are accepting BCBS, Aetna, UHC, and Cigna.

To keep our services affordable, there is a low cash price for primary care services.

WILL I NEED FREQUENT FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS FOR MEDICATIONS?

Very likely!  When starting a new medication, it is important to follow up with further assessments to determine if the medication is effective.  Because some people can be sensitive to medications, it is protocol to start new medications and increase as needed gradually.  This may take a few appointments to be sure that the medication is working optimally for the patient. Your health is our priority!

WHAT IF I AM CHANGING PROVIDERS? IS THERE ANYTHING THAT I WILL NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

As with any new provider, it is essential to know any previous diagnosis, or diagnostics testing that you may have from the past. It would be ideal if the patient has previous information available.  If not, we can request your medical records from your previous provided if absolutely necessary.  During the appointment, we will review your past medical and surgical history to come up with an optimal plan of care.

WHAT IS GENESIGHT
TESTING?

Genesight testing is used when initial diagnosis and treatments have failed with multiple SSRIs or other psych medications.

Genesight is a quick cheek swab completed in office.  It is then sent to the lab where your DNA is evaluated with the ability to narrow down ideal treatment medications for the patient.

The patient then is given the results, and adjustment of the medication treatment plan are discussed with the patient for further options.
